LOS ANGELES - In November, LMU men's basketball signed for Southern California standouts to National Letters of Intent. All four were All-CIF selections after leading their teams to success in 2015-16. As seniors, they are at it again, earning nominations to the 2017 McDonald's All-American Game.

Joe Quintana (Bonita High School), Eli Scott (Chino Hills High School), Ryse Williams (Redondo Union High School), and Zafir Williams (Long Beach Poly High School) have helped their teams to a combined record of 57-4. All are ranked in the top-50 in the state of California, including Scott's Chino Hills team winning 53 straight games to earn the number one spot in the latest national rankings.

Since 1978, nearly 1,300 players have competed in the McDonald's All American Games. They form an elite group of some of the top names in basketball history, including Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, James Harden, Candace Parker, Maya Moore, Elena Delle Donne and Breanna Stewart.

As of Jan. 17, Quintana has helped Bonita High School to a 12-4 record and a 2-0 mark in league play. Scott is part of that Chino Hills that just won their 53rd straight game to move into the top spot in most national high school rankings. In that 72-64 win, Scott scored 26 points to help Chino Hills improve to 18-0 on the season.

At Redondo Union, Ryse Williams has helped his team to a 15-4 overall mark and a 2-0 record in league play. They have reached the number 14 ranking in the state of California. Zafir Williams has helped Long Beach Poly get hot in league, winning their first four games of conference play. They are 12-6 overall.

LMU's incoming class was four of 750 players nominated. That list was paired down to 42 for the 2017 McDonald's All-American Games, which will be March 29 at the United Center in Chicago. Since their inception, the Games have benefitted Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) through its network of local Chapters. At RMHC, programs like the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room provide comfort and compassion to families with sick children so they are fully supported and able to be a part of their children's care.
