The Lions, fresh off a season-high 14 steals in the win over BYU Thursday, will continue to create havoc defensively. Through 11 conference games this season, no other West Coast Conference team has more that 75 total steals, the Lions have totalled 83 and lead the league. Jeffery McClendon, the WCC leader in that category tied his career-high on Thursday with his fifth four-steal game.

Scoring has continued to come from newcomers James Batemon and Eli Scott. Batemon recorded all eight of LMU’s 25-plus point games after scoring 28 against the Cougars on an efficient 9-for-14 from the field and 7-for-8 from the line.

Scott recorded his team-high fourth double-double on Thursday, and first since WCC play began. His line included 19 points, 10 rebounds (with four on the offensive glass), three assists, and two steals. Among conference players, Scott ranks ninth in scoring and sixth in rebounding.

Steven Haney, Jr. is now just seven made threes away from passing LMU legends Anthony Ireland and Bo Kimble and becoming the third member of the program’s 200 made three-point field goal club. Haney is averaging 2.76 threes per game this season, tying him for 76th in Division I.

The game will tip at 1 p.m. on Spectrum Sportsnet and on TheW.tv outside of conference cities.
