LMU took down BYU last Thursday on the Bluff, a game that featured a team-high 14 steals from the Lions, with four coming from the conference’s leader in that category, Jeffery McClendon. The junior may be looking to become a threat on both sides of the ball, as he is coming off a career-high tying 15-point performance to lead LMU in Saturday’s two-point loss in Portland.

The Lions had four players hit double-figures Saturday, with Steven Haney, Jr. (13), James Batemon (11), and Eli Scott (10) joining McClendon. Haney. is now just five made threes away from passing LMU legend Bo Kimble and becoming the third member of the program’s 200 made three-point field goal club. Haney is averaging 2.35 threes per game this season, the 41st most in Division I this season.

In the season’s first matchup with the Gaels, SMC shot 62 percent (31-for-50) against the Lions and 62.5 percent (10-for-16) from three, the best shooting percentages for any LMU opponent this season. The combination of Saint Mary’s sharp shooting and LMU’s third-lowest scoring output of the season, brought the game out of hand in the conference-opening meeting.

Since that point, eight of LMU’s conference games have been decided by seven points or fewer, including seven of the last eight games and five straight.

The game will tip at 7 p.m. on TheW.tv, and will be available everywhere. Thursday is also student-housing night, with prizes available for students throughout the night. A special halftime performance by Red Panda is a sight you won't want to miss.
