WCC Release

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has announced the 16 conference matchups for each of its 10 men’s basketball teams for the 2018-19 season, with Loyola Marymount men’s basketball scheduled to play BYU, Gonzaga, Pacific, Pepperdine, Portland, San Diego, and Santa Clara both home and away. The change from an 18-game league schedule to 16 means that LMU will not travel to Moraga to face Saint Mary’s or host San Francisco next season.

The 16-game schedule is the result of changes adopted by the WCC Presidents’ Council as part of the Conference’s Men’s Basketball Enhancement Plan.

These matchups designate the 16-game home and away opponents for the upcoming season based on a Conference formula including multi-year team RPI, last year’s West Coast Conference tournament seedings, and a spring survey of the league’s 10 head coaches.

The 2019 West Coast Conference Basketball Championships will take place March 7-12 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

The exact dates and times for the matchups will be announced at a later date.

With eight WCC home games on next year’s schedule, season tickets are the best way to ensure that you don’t miss a single play. Season ticket deposits will be available this Monday for both men’s and women’s basketball. Men’s basketball deposits will be $50 and available online or at the LMU Ticket Office. For any ticketing questions, please contact the ticket office at 310-338-5466.
