LOS ANGELES -- As finals come to a close for the summer session, the LMU men's basketball team puts the final touches on their training sessions heading into the 2014 Spain Tour, which begins next Monday. On Wednesday night, the Lions held an open training session at Gersten Pavilion for season ticket holders.

The Lions went through an hour of shooting drills for roughly 60 season ticket holders who were given a sneak peak at the Lions new-look roster. The players and coaching staff followed the practice with a meet-and-greet with the fans, along with a groups singing of happy birthday for sophomore Evan Payne.

Season ticket holders and Lions Athletic Fund members can look for future insider opportunities with the men's basketball program, including a special viewing of the documentary "Basketball Guru - The Pete Newell Story" on Saturday, Sept. 13 in St. Roberts Auditorium and the second annual LMU Men's Basketball Cruise and Dinner Auction on Saturday, Sept. 20.

The Lions will depart for Spain on Monday, Aug. 11. Watch for daily updates and insider videos through the LMU Sports Network during the Lions' trip.
