LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Season tickets for the 2009-10 LMU men's basketball season are now on sale, and with the official release of another challenging schedule, a year of celebration is set to tip-off. This campaign will mark the 20th anniversary of the 1989-90 LMU basketball team, one of the most memorable college basketball teams in the last 20 years.

This year's schedule will begin with a team who went to the NCAA postseason, Boise State, and will end with one, Saint Mary's. The Lions schedule currently features six games on television, starting with home opener against UC Irvine on Wednesday, Nov. 18. That game will be on FSN-Prime Ticket at 8 p.m.

The conference slate begins at rival Pepperdine on Jan. 9 with the traditional doubleheader with the women. The Zappos.com WCC Basketball Champioships will conclude the 2009-10 season once again in Las Vegas, with the tournament held at the Orleans Arena March 5-8. The semifinals and championship game will be televisied by ESPN2/ESPN.

Other televisied games for the Lions this season include Jan. 16 against Santa Clara on FSN-West at 8 p.m., Jan. 23 at Gonzaga on FSN with a start tie of 5 p.m., Feb. 18 against Gonzaga in Gersten Pavilion on FSN at 7 p.m. and Feb. 25 at San Diego on ESPN U with a start tie of 8 p.m.

All season, LMU will also present 20th Anniversary Throw-Back games, including the 20th Anniversary celebration with members of the team in attendance during Homecoming 2010, taking place on Jan. 30 when LMU takes on Saint Mary's. It is also the sixth televisied game on the schedule, airing live on FSN-Prime Ticket at 7 p.m.

Throw-back games, including Homecoming, will have the Lions wear throw-back uniforms from that season, along with special 20th Anniversary Give-aways, presentations and promotions. The throw-back games for the season will be:

    Nov. 28 vs. UC Santa Barbara - 7 p.m.
    Dec. 21 vs. Long Beach State - 8 p.m.
