2012 Schedule | Time Warner Cable SportsNet Partnership | LMU on Facebook | LMU on Twitter
LOS ANGELES -- The West Coast Conference and Time Warner Cable SportsNet announced its partnership on Monday, and with it the 2012-13 schedule for the LMU men's basketball comes into clearer picture. The partnership has added six games to the Lions' slate with more to come.
The partnership between TWCSN and the WCC will air a minimum of 15 men's basketball games this season with nine featured as "WCC Game of the Week" matchups on Saturdays this winter. Those games will be paired with a weekly half-hour program dedicated to WCC Athletics.
LMU will be a part of the first TWCSN Game of the Week when they travel to Saint Mary's on Jan. 5. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. The Lions' next appearance will then be on Wednesday, Jan. 16 when they travel to San Diego for a 7 p.m., tip-off. That game was original schedule for that Thursday but was moved to accommodate the telecast.
Three days later the Lions will be back on the Game of the Week when they travel to San Francisco on Saturday, Jan. 19 for another 1:30 p.m., tip-off. LMU will make its fourth appearance on the network in the month of January when they host Pepperdine for the first Wells Fargo PCH Cup showdown of the season on Thursday, Jan. 24. That game is set for 7 p.m., at Gersten Pavilion. The pregame tailgate starts at 5 p.m.
The Toreros and Lions will be back on the network in the rematch, this one taking place on Monday, Feb. 4 at Gersten Pavilion. Tip-off for that one is set for 7 p.m. And rounding out the six games will be the Gaels coming to Gersten Pavilion for Family Weekend on Saturday, Feb. 16. Game time is set for 4 p.m., with a special Family Weekend tailgate set for 2 p.m.
Also added to the Lions' television schedule is the game at Saint Louis on Saturday, Dec. 22. The Bilikens have announced the game will be on Fox Sports Midwest starting at 12:30 p.m. (PT)/2:30 p.m. (CT).
Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes can be found in SD and HD on Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks and will soon be available on Charter, Verizon FiOS and AT&T U-verse systems.
