LOS ANGELES -- LMU Head Coach Max Good announced on Tuesday, Nov. 20, that Patson Siame has signed to attend and play basketball for the Lions. Siame is a 6-10 forward from Zambia who is attending Trinity International in Las Vegas after arriving in the United States in January.
"Patson has incredible upside and he will have an impact for us," said Good. "He has a great combination of size and athleticism. And we love his work ethic. It seems his motor is always running and he works hard on the boards."
Siame was on the World Roster for the 2012 Nike Hoop Summit and was invited to the Adidas Nations Camp, both of which features that top young players in the nation. In addition to attending Trinity, Siame plays at Impact Basketball Academy and is currently ranked the No. 21 center by ESPN.
"Patson had a really good summer and it seemed his game improved every time he took the floor," said Good. "His experience with the Basketball Without Borders program has really helped set him up to have a ton of potential. We are very excited to have him in the program."
LMU arrived in Anchorage, Alaska, for the 2012 Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout where they open with Oral Roberts on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. The game can be seen on CBS Sports Network and heard on KXLU 88.9 FM.
