The Lions are returning home after splitting their non-conference stretch that spanned over two weeks. After leading throughout and defeating Cal State Northridge on Dec. 9, LMU battled in a back-and-forth game at University of Washington last Sunday. The Lions came up a basket short, losing 80-78, behind James Batemon's career night of 30 points and five made threes. In two games against Pac12 competition, LMU has come up just shy, losing by a combined six points.

Batemon's performance is the 46th 30 or more scoring outing in program history. The last Lion to hit the 30-point plateau was Adom Jacko, with his 35-point outing against Portland on Feb. 6, 2016. Batemon now holds LMU's top five single-game scoring outputs this season, with games of 30, 26, 26, 25, and 23.

LMU continues to dominate the offensive glass. After 13 more offensive rebounds to keep possessions alive on Sunday, the Lions rank eighth in Division I with 14.8 o-boards per game.

Cal State Fullerton (6-4) saw their five-game win streak snapped after taking Cal to overtime on the road Saturday. The Titans hold teams to 30-perfcent from three, good for 37th best in Division I.
