Lions Post Best Start Since 2000

LMU men’s golf posted a final round 285 on Tuesday at the USF Olympic Intercollegiate, jumping seven spots in the standings to finish fourth overall in the 14-team field at The Olympic Club in San Francisco. It is the best finish to start the season since they placed fourth at the Yale Fall Intercollegiate on Sept. 18, 2000.

Elmes 66 Leads Lions in First Outing

Sophomore Riley Elmes posted a career-best 66 in the second round of the USF Olympic Intercollegiate on Monday in San Francisco, Calif. The Lions shaved 13 strokes off their team score from the first and second round to gain momentum going into Tuesday’s final round.

First Season Under D’Amore Begins Monday-Tuesday

LMU men’s golf will begin its 2016-17 campaign Monday, Sept. 12, at the 14-team USF Olympic Invitational in San Francisco. Jason D’Amore, 2015 inductee into the LMU Athletics Hall of Fame, will begin his first season at the helm of the Lions.

Jason D’Amore Named Golf Head Coach

Jason D’Amore, member of the LMU men’s golf program from 2005-08 and a Class of 2015 Inductee to the LMU Athletics’ Hall of Fame, has been named Head Coach of the men’s golf team, announced Dr. William Husak, Director of Athletics.

Sweet 16s Highlight of 11th Annual Iggys

A pair of trips to the NCAA Sweet 16 was the highlight of the 2016 Lions Athletic Fund Iggy Awards on Wednesday, April 28th at the DoubleTree LA Westside. Women's volleyball and women's soccer, who had historic runs in the their respective NCAA tournaments, were part of the many honors recognized at the 11th Annual Iggy Awards.
