Nick Jan and Braden Baer shared a connection in deciding to come to LMU and to play for the LMU men's golf program at mid-year and that was to Head Coach Brad Lanning. That tie has helped the two make the transition to their new university and team that much easier.

Briefly... Braden Baer is in his second season with the LMU golf team, transferring to LMU from Oglethorpe University (Ga.) at the start of the 2014 calendar year...
Highlights at LMU... 2014-15... Up-to-date Season Stats...2013-14... joined the Lions at the start of the spring season in January of 2014, playing in eight tournaments... in 24 rounds, finished with a stroke average of 75.6... best finish came with a tie at sixth place with a three-over 219 at the Fresno State Classic, shooting rounds of 73, 74 and 72... he finished the 2014 WCC Championships with a 229, good for a tie at 33rd...
Before LMU... went to from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA, from 2012-13 and fall semester of 2013.... he won the individual medal honors, winning the Southern Athletic Association championship for Oglethorpe in April of 2013... He posted a three-under 141 to be named SAA Player of the Year and SAA Freshman of the Year in 2013, earning first-team All-Conference and All-Georgia State Team that same year... at Mountain Range he was a three-time first-team All-Conference selection, taking second place in the league championships in 2011 and third place in 2009... earned Golfweek Medalist AJGA qualifier at Quarry Oaks in 2001, was a first-team All-Conference... helped team to conference and regional championship in 2011, taking third in the Class-5A Colorado State Championship... won the conference and took third in the state championship in 2010 as well.
Personal... Braden David Baer was born in Boulder, Colo., on Oct. 24, 1993... he is the son of DeeAnn and David Baer... has two sisters... an Accounting major.
