Briefly... Bryan Bergna is in his fourth and final season of collegiate golf at LMU... became the second Lion in program history to qualify for the USGA's U.S. Amateur Public Links Championships held at Brandon Dunes Golf Resort in Brandon, Ore., in 2011. He went on to qualify for Match Play after placing 53rd out of 155 players in the first two rounds... won the Public Links Championship Sectional Qualifier in May of 2011 with a two-round 139 at Los Serranos Golf and Country Club in Chino Hills, Calif... qualified for the 2012 California State Amateur Championship and the 113th SCGA Amateur Championship, placing 39th out of 82 golfers with a eight-over 311.

At LMU...2011-12... was ranked second on the team with a 73.6 stroke average, earning four top-20 finishes, two of which were in the top-five... posted a career-low round of 69, which came in the second round of the Saint Mary's Invitational (9/19/11) and the first round of the OGIO UCSB Invite (4/2/12)... finished third at the OGIO, shooting a three-under 213... finished tied for fourth at the North Ranch Intercollegiate (2/28/12) with a six-over 216... finished sixth with a three-over 219 at the Wolf Pack Classic (10/4/11)... finished with nine rounds under par... placed 25th at WCC Championships with a 223, hitting rounds of 72, 72 and 79... 2010-11... played in eight tournaments on the season, finishing with a 75.8 stroke average in 24 rounds of golf... He had a two rounds of 70 on the season, the first round of the Palouse Collegiate and then the final round of the Folino Invite... his 221 at the Palouse was his best of the season... finished WCC championships with a 226, good for a tie at 25th... 2009-10...Played in ten matches his freshmen year...averaged +5 shooting 77.1... His best finish was at the Barona Collegiate Cup where he placed in a tie for 17th out of 104 and shot +3, shooting 72, 72, and 75 after three rounds.

High School... graduated from Poly High School in Riverside, Calif., in 2009... finished with a 70.0 scoring average... was a four-year letterwinner for coach Curtis Lochran... he was a three-time All-League performer, earning All-CIF honors as a junior and a senior... won the league championship as a sophomore and junior... went to CIF Regional and Sectional, taking second place... placed in a tie for fifth with a 68 at the CIFCG Boy's Golf Championship as a senior, advancing to state... he placed sixth in the state with a 74... he was active on the Southern California PGA Junior Tour. He played in 16 events in 2007 and nine in 2008. This past fall he had his best finish, winning the Toyota Tour Cup Series - Sycuan at Sycuan Resort in Oak Glenn, shooting a two round 138, including a 68 in the final round.. had six goals in the WWPA Tournament...

Personal... Bryan George Bergna was born on May 2, 1990 in Riverside, Calif., and is the son of Dana and Lou Bergna... has the one brother, Louis, who played golf for the Lions and was a member of the 2006 WCC Championship team... he is majoring in Sociology.
