PALM DESERT, Calif. - Three LMU men's golfers finished in the top-20 of the 128-man field at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif., on Sunday. The Lions shot a final round 289 and finished the tournament in eighth place with a three-round 862.

Freshman Blake Meek had his best tournament during his young tenure at LMU, shooting a final round of 69 to finish in a tie for 10th place with a three-round, four-under par 212. Meek had the most consistent round of the entire field, leading the entire tournament in holes at par with 44 (out of 54 holes).

Joining the freshman from Loyola High School in the top-20 was sophomore Connor Campbell and senior Tyler Torano. They both tied for 19th with a three-round score of 219 as Torano posted a final round 72 and Campbell a 74.

Rounding out the final scoring for the Lions was freshman Braden Baer with a 226 and sophomore Chase Nicolai with a 230. Nicolai was the only Lion with an eagle on the tournament.

Up next for the Lions is the Sacramento State Intercollegiate Cup from Valley Hi Country Club on Mar. 3-4.
