Westlake Village, CA - Senior Greg Moss posted a consistent three rounds of golf at the 2009 USC Invitational, shooting rounds of 73, 73 and 74 to lead the Lions with a seven-over 220 on Tuesday afternoon. He finished in a tie for 29th, facing one of the toughest fields the Lions will face all season.

With 12 of the 13 teams in the top-100, the Lions posted a three-round score of 900, six strokes behind top-100 Oregon State. Seven of the 12 ranked in the top-100 were in the top 39 nationally, including No. 4 and host USC and No. 7 Stanford. The Cardinal won the event.

Following Moss was the young duo of freshman Jake Sarnoff and sophomore John Lim. Both finished with 13-over par 226. Sarnoff recovered from a first round 80 with a 72 in the second round and a 74 in the final round Tuesday. Lim posted rounds of 76, 72 and 78.

Brian Locke was fourth for the Lions with a 232 and Blake Nicolai was fifth with a 238.

The Lions will travel to the Braveheart Classic hosted by UC Riverside at Oak Valley Country Club in Beaumont, Calif., on Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 2-3.
