Locked In At Eighth
Men's golf stays in eighth place after final round of Sacramento State Invite on Tuesday.

ELK GROVE, Calif. -- LMU men's golf remained locked in at eighth place of the Sacramento State Invitational presented by the Old Spaghetti Factory after the final round of play at Valley Hi Country Club in Elk Grove, Calif., on Tuesday.
The Lions finished with a final round 293 to finish with a three-round total of 880, two strokes better than ninth place Houston Baptist and seven behind seventh place and host Sacramento State. UC Santa Barbara won the tournament with an 853.
Leading the charge on the final day was the Lions' hottest golfer of late in junior Tyler Torano. He posted his best round of the tournament with a 70 on Tuesday to finish with a 217, good for a tie at 11th.
Freshman Connor Campbell was next up for the Lions, hitting a 76 on Tuesday to finish with a 221 and in a tie for 30th.
Rounding out the Lions' scoring was senior Bryan Bergna two strokes behind Campbell for a tie at 37th. Sitting one behind him was senior Boris Stantchev with a tie for 42nd. He had the second best round of the day with a 73. Freshman Chase Nicolai was in a tie for 54th for the Lions, hitting a 228.
Up next will be the final tune-up before the WCC Championships in April as the Lions head to the 33rd Annual Anteater Invitaitonal on Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 25-26.
