Santa Barbara, CA -- The Loyola Marymount University men's golf team posted a two-round 595 in the opening day of the OGIO Pacific Coast Intercollegiate hosted by UC Santa Barbara on Monday at Rancho San Marcos Golf Course. The Lions opened with a 295 in the first round and then finished with a 300 in round two.

The Lions are three strokes behind Cal State Bakersfield who is in fifth with a 592 and four strokes behind Boise State, who posted a 591. Rounding out the top three is leader Cal State Northridge at 568, host UC Santa Barbara in second with a 583 and Cal Poly in third at 587.

Jason D'Amore leads the Lions into Tuesday's final round with a 147. He posted rounds of 73 and 74 to sit in a tie for 21st. Junior Brian Locke is in a tie for 26th with a 148. He posted rounds of 73 and 75.

Rounding out the Lions five scoring individuals was Bryan Martin in a tie for 34th, John Lim in a tie for 40th and Greg Moss in a tie for 58th. Martin posted rounds of 77 and 73 while Lim opened with the low score on the day for the Lions with a 72. He followed with a 79 in round two. Moss posted rounds of 77 and 78.

Blake Nicolai played as an individual and sits in a tie for 54th with rounds of 78 and 76. The field includes 12 teams and 78 individuals.
