Baer in Top-10 After Day One

DANVILLE, Calif. --Senior Braden Baer led the LMU men's golf team in the opening round of the 2016 West Coast Conference Championships on Monday, shooting a two-under 70 at Blackhawk Country Club in Danville, Calif.

Baer had seven brides on the day to help him into a tie for ninth after the opening 18 holes.

Fellow senior Connor Campbell along with freshman Riley Elmes shot rounds of 75 to sit in a tie for 26th. Nick Jan and Billy Pollock are in a tie for 37th with rounds of 77.

The Lions combined for a round of 297 to sit in ninth, four strokes behind Gonzaga, who shot a 293.

Round two begins on Tuesday morning.
