LIHUE, Hawaii -- LMU men's golf freshman finished the 2009 Kauai Collegiate Invite in a tie for sixth place after his final round 71 on Wednesday on the par-72 Puakea Golf Course. He wraps up the three-round tournament with a 210 as the Lions as a team wraps up seventh with a final score of 872.

Stantchev posted rounds of 67 and 72 to go with his final round score.

Sophomore Jake Sarnoff worked his way into the top-20 with a tie at 20th, shooting a 72 in the final round for a three-day 218.

Junior John Lim posted a final round 73 for a tie at 31st. He posted a three-day 218. Freshman Bryan Bergna finished in a tie for 39th with a 227 while Senior Blake Nicolai tied for 49th with a 232.

The Lions head to the 2009 SMC Invitational on Nov. 9 and 10.
