LOS ANGELES -- Lions' All-Access special feature Inside the Lions Spotlight continues its look on the LMU men's golf program, turning its attention to sophomore Tyler Little.
Little is coming off his best tournament of his young career, posting a three-round score of 220 and placing in a tie for 29th at the Del Walker Invitational on Feb. 26. He posted a pair of 73s and a 74 as the Lions' overall had an impressive day.
For Little, his goal in his second season is to continue to take strides forward, eyeing a trip to the conference championships as one of the five traveling players. He has already lowered his average by six strokes from his freshman season.
The game of golf all started for Little with his family. He got into the game through his father, who was a club pro while Little was a youth. The game of golf took off in high school, as he played all four years, helping Servite High School to the CIF championships his final three seasons, qualifying for state himself as a junior and senior. After three straight tournaments, the Lions have a week off and will next travel to the Sacramento State Intercollegiate Cup on March 11-12 at Valley Hi Country Club.
