-- Lions' All-Access special feature Inside the Lions Spotlight presented by Muscle Milk takes a look LMU men's golf freshman Chase Nicolai.

Golf has been a family affair for the Nicolai family, and it is fitting that Chase Nicolai follows his older brother's footsteps in joining the Lions golf teams this season. Nicolai has played 13 rounds for the Lions as a true freshman, earning an experience of a lifetime in the process.

 

 

Nicolai has a 76.5 stroke average as the Lions enter the final month of their season. His goals this second semester is to make the Lions' travel roster, which he did in their last tournament, the Sacramento State Invitational. Working hard to earn a spot on the Lions' traveling team is nothing new for the Nicolai family.

Chase's brother, Blake Nicolai, played for the Lions from 2007-2010 as a walk-on, working himself into one of the top golfers in 2010 as a senior, playing in all 33 rounds in 2010. Chase has leaned on the experience his brother had at LMU and the advice of his family throughout his life. Check out the entire interview on Lions' All-Access.

Up next for the Lions will be the final tune-up before the WCC Championships in April as the Lions head to the 33rd Annual Anteater Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 25-26.
