Busy Week For Lions
Men's golf to play a pair of tournaments on the week as they head into WCC Championships.

LOS ANGELES - Two tournaments await LMU men's golf before the 2014 West Coast Conference Championships, and they are both this week. It starts with The Duck Invitational on Monday-Tuesday, March 24-25 followed by the US Intercollegiate March 28-30.
LMU Sports Network caught up with sophomore Chase Nicolai, who will be one of the five traveling to the U.S. Intercollegiate hosted by Stanford at the Stanford Golf Club. He talked about his experience in year two at LMU and the progress the Lions have made in the first season under Head Coach Brad Lanning.
The week begins at the Emerald Valley Golf Course in Eugene, Ore., where the Lions will play in the 25th Annual Duck Invitational. Traveling for the Lions will Tyler Torano, Connor Campbell, Braden Baer, Blake Meek and Lawrence Ree. They will play against a field of 15 teams, which include Oregon (Host), Air Force, Boise state, Colorado, Gonzaga, Idaho, LMU, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon State, Pacific, San Jose State, Santa Clara, St. Mary's, Utah and Wyoming.
Emerald Valley Golf Course plays 7,165 yards and is a par-72. Follow the tournament live on GOLFSTAT.com.
As for the U.S. Intercollegiate, also known as The Goodwin, will feature three single rounds each day with the final round held on Sunday, Mar. 30. Hosted by Stanford, the 18-team field will feature Colorado State, Fresno State, LMU, Northwestern, Oregon, San Diego St., San Francisco, San Jose St., USC, Saint Maru's, the Cardinal, TCU, UAB, UC Davis, UCLA, UNLV, Washington and Washington St.
Nicolai will replace Ree in the Lions' line-up for The Goodwin.
