Duo Earns Academic Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- LMU men's golf sophomore Kyle Berka and senior Andrew Waldron have been named to the 2012 West Coast Conference Men's Golf All-Academic Team, the WCC announced on Friday heading into the 2012 WCC Championships.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.

Berka is holds a 3.52 GPA as a Communication Studies major while Waldron will graduate this May with his degree in Business Administration. He currently holds a 3.41 GPA.

The 2012 WCC Men's Golf Championships will be held Monday through Wednesday, April 16-18, at San Juan Oaks Golf Course in Hollister, Calif.
