SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Sophomore Connor Campbell has named to the 2013-14 West Coast Conference Men's Golf All-Academic Team, as announced by the WCC this week. Campbell played in every tournament for the Lions and finished second on the team in stroke average.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
Campbell has a 3.38 GPA and is a Finance major.
Connor played in all 11 events for the Lions in his second season. He finished the 2014 WCC Championships in 24th with a 223 and finished his sophomore campaign with a stroke average just under 24. He had four top-20 finishes, three were in the top-10.
He had 11 rounds under par, including season best 69. His low three-round tournament was a 213, good for 19th out of 128 golfers at Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. His best finish was tie for 8th with a 218 at the Farms Collegiate.
