Sarnoff Second at Pasasena City Championships

PASADENA, Calif. -- LMU's Jake Sarnoff, who just finished his freshman campaign with the Lions, finished second at the 74th annual Pasadena City Golf Championship at Brookside Men's Golf Club. Sarnoff was one of four Lions to play in the amateur event sponsored by the City of Pasadena and American Golf. Sarnoff shot a four-round 280 to finish six-under par. He finished just three strokes behind winner Tim Hogarth. Sarnoff opened the tournament with a 65, the low round for the championship. He posted a second-round 74, third-round 70 and then a 71 in his final round. Teammate Blake Nicolai also posted an impressive finish, shooting a tournament total of 297 to finish 17th in the championship flight. Also in the top-50 was Brandin Cohen with a 306. Andrew Waldron also played in the event, missing the cut after the first two rounds. He shot a pair of 75s for a two round 150.
