Even with school out of session, several current and future members of the Loyola Marymount men's golf team are competing in various events across the country. Check this page throughout the summer for tournament results and individual player updates from LMU golf.


Riley Elmes - Oregon Coast Invitational

For the second consecutive year, LMU's Riley Elmes has won the Oregon Coast Invitational at Astoria Golf and Country Club. Elmes took the title 3 & 2 after advancing through the Championship Flight Bracket.


Riley Elmes and Billy Pollock - 108th Oregon Amateur Championship

Junior Riley Elmes and Senior Billy Pollock played in the 108th Oregon Amateur Championship at the Oregon Golf Club from June 22-24. Elmes advanced four rounds to the semifinals and Pollock won his first matchup to advance to the Round of 32.



Justin Egelske - California State Amateur

Sophomore Justin Egelske shot a 79-75--154 (+12) at the 106th California Amateur Championship on June 19 and 20 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco. In his two rounds he finished with three total birdies and 22 pars.





Mason Glinski - Ventura City Championship

Sophomore Mason Glinski recently won the Ventura City Championship with rounds of 67-69--136 in tough conditions at Olivas Links on May 27 and 28. Glinski was the only golfer in the Championship Flight to record both rounds in the 60s, leading him to his three-stroke victory.



Riley Elmes - Royal Oaks Invitational

Junior Riley Elmes recently lost in a 3-man playoff for the Royal Oaks Invitational in Vancouver, Wash. on June 9. Elmes shot 74-70-69--213 to finish three-under and force the playoff.



Cameron Meeks - U.S. Junior Amateur

Incoming freshman Cameron Meeks qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur after shooting the low at Goose Creek Golf Club in Jurupa Valley, Calif., on June 13. Meeks will play in the Amateur at Flint Hills National Golf Club in Andover, Kasas from July 17-22

Matthew Carungay - Southern California Amateur

Incoming freshman Matthew Carungay has qualified for the Southern California Amatuer after shooting 3-over, 75 and finishing tied for third at Western Hills Country Club on June 7. The 118th SCGA Amateur Championship runs from July 6-9 at Mission Hills Country Club in Dinah Shore.
