LOS ANGELES – Loyola Marymount men’s golf has the rare weekend tournament ahead as the Lions compete in the 2017 Wyoming Southern Dunes Invitational this Saturday and Saturday. The University of Wyoming is hosting the tournament at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz.
LMU will be competing with seven total players, two of whom will be tabbed as individuals. Riley Elmes, Mason Glinski, Cameron Meeks, Samuel Su, and Matthew Carungay make up the Lion five, with Justin Egelske, and Nick Jan competing as individuals.
The tournament will consist of 10-teams, Wyoming, Air Force,, Boise State, Cal Poly, Idaho, Loyola Marymount, Sam Houston State, Utah Valley, Western Kentucky, and Washington State. Arizona and Arizona will have individuals competing only.
Rounds one and two will begin Saturday, Oct. 14 with a 7:30 a.m. MST shotgun start, and round three will conclude the tournament on Sunday, Oct. 15 with a 7:30 a.m. MST shotgun start. The course is par 72/7,546 yards. The course will be played with the same setup used during rounds 2, 3 and 4 of PGA Tour Qualifying School hosted at Southern Dunes Sept. 27-29.
