Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic Sends Men’s Golf Hawaii Bound

LOS ANGELES –Loyola Marymount will be playing 54 holes (18 holes each day) over three days this week from Lahaina, Maui at the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic.

The 6,700 yard, par 71 Royal Ka‘anapali Course will host 20 teams. Air Force

Ball State, Boise State, Bowling Green, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Gonzaga, Hawai‘i, Houston, Indiana, Kansas, Kent State, Louisiana State, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, Sacramento State, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Wyoming will all be vying for the tournament crown.

Competing as the LMU five will be Riley Elmes, Justin Egelske, Mason Glinski, Matthew Carungay, and Samuel Su.

Elmes shot a career-best 69-65-70—204 to secure his first collegiate tournament title with Loyola Marymount in his last time out. LMU added a top-10 finish from Carungay and a top-15 finish from Egelske at the tournament to help the Lions (294-279-283—856) secure second overall at University of Wyoming’s Southern Dunes Invitational.
