Locke in 12th at All-America Classic

TX (Nov. 21) -- Loyola Marymount sophomore Brian Locke opened play in the 32nd Annual Wesern Refining College All-American Golf Classic with rounds of 71 and 68 to post an opening day 138 at the El Paso Country Club on Monday. Locke is in a 12th place tie in a field that features 28 players who were named All-American a year ago.
The golf classic is by invitation only and invites those players who earned All-America honors the year prior. Luke List of Vanderbilt leads the field with a 12-uner 130 thanks to a record 62 in the first round. Billy Horschel of Florida matched that record in teh second round and is in third at nine-under.
As for Locke, he continues his solid play. He has won his last two tournaments, leading LMU to back-to-back tournament titles for the first time in conference history.
Locke went with an even par 71 in the morning's first round but went three-under in the afternoon's second round. The players will complete play on Tuesday.
