LOS ANGELES – An accomplished pair of golfers will join the Loyola Marymount program next year as Raymond Navis (Palm Desert High School / Palm Desert, Calif.) and Kyle Kinnane (Servite High School / Anaheim Hills, Calif.) have signed their National Letter of Intents to play at LMU.

“It’s hard to believe that we have these two guys coming in next year,” said Head Coach Jason D’Amore. “They have so much to offer our program from a golf perspective, as well as work ethic and determination, to accomplish big things here. Our future looks real bright with these two onboard.”

Raymond Navis has five top-5 AJGA finishes to his name. He placed second at the 2017 California State Boys Championship and tied for first at the 2016 Cory Pavin Invitational. He also represented SCPGA Junior Golf Association twice in the North-South matches and once in the Challenge Cup, going undefeated in individual match play. Navis qualified for the 2017 U.S. Amateur as the Medalist at Crystalaire CC with rounds of 68-72—140.

“We are thrilled to have Raymond sign with LMU,” said D’Amore. “He has a fantastic demeanor on the golf course and a great understanding of golf. Raymond has all the tools necessary to break records at LMU and help us get closer to winning a National Championship.”

Kyle Kinnane joins LMU as the 2017 OC Register All-County Boys Golfer of the Year, after finishing as the 2017 CIF Individual Runner-up. Kinnane won the Indian Wells Toyota Tour Cup Championship and has finished with four AJGA Top-5’s.

“Signing Kyle Kinnane is such a thrill for us,” said D’Amore. “He is such an impressive young man all around. His attention to detail, professionalism and golf talent are unmatched. I can’t wait to get him suited up in some LMU gear and have him make history at LMU.”

The LMU men’s golf team will continue play this season with the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson the final weekend of January.
