Paul Blanchette concluded his career as a Lion as a two-time WCC Goalkeeper of the Year and two-time All-WCC Second Team honoree... holds LMU records for single-season shutouts (8) and career shutouts (19)... 26 career wins ranks first... 11 single-season wins in 2013 ranks in a tie for third all-time at LMU... 226 career saves ranks fourth... 0.98 career GAA ranks fifth...

At LMU...

WCC Co-Goalkeeper of the Year... All-WCC Second Team... started 15 of 18 total matches... went 9-6-0 with an LMU record eight shutouts... made 59 saves and carried a 1.06 goals against average... opened the season with four consecutive shutouts as the Lions did not allow a goal for the first 405:40 minutes of the season... earned WCC Player of the Week for Sept. 7 after posting back-to-back shutout victories at Harvard and Boston College... earned a second WCC Player of the Week honor on Oct. 19 as he posted 10 saves in shutout wins over Gonzaga and Portland... earned the second assist of his career on the game-winner at Boston College (Sept. 6)..

Preseason All-WCC Team... split time in goal all season long... made 10 starts, going 2-2-5 with an 0.84 goals against average... GAA ranked second in the WCC to only Lion teammate Vince Paldino... made 34 saves for a .791 percentage... posted three solo shutouts including a 4-0 win over Grand Canyon (Sept. 26), a 1-0 win at San Diego (Oct. 10) and a 0-0 draw at Gonzaga (Nov. 2)... also had a combined shutout with Paldino in a 1-0 win over San Diego (Nov. 15) in the season finale... career-high nine saves in the double-overtime draw against the Zags... 969 total minutes played...

WCC Goalkeeper of the Year... All-WCC Second Team... earned 16 starts and appeared in 18 total matches in goal for the Lions... posted an LMU record seven shutouts on his way to an 11-4-2 record... made 55 saves and allowed just 15 goals for a .786 save percentage and 0.81 GAA... recorded a season-high eight saves at UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 29) and at Stanford (Nov. 21)... season-long streak of not allow a goal scored of 405:11 minutes, including three consecutive shutouts of San Francisco (Oct. 20), Saint Mary's (Nov. 1) and San Francisco (Nov. 3)... made two saves in LMU's NCAA Tournament First Round penalty kick shootout against Stanford...

All-WCC Honorable Mention... WCC All-Freshman Team... got his first taste of collegiate action four matches into the season and became the Lions' regular starting goalkeeper for the remainder of the season... went 4-8-3 with 78 saves and a 1.21 GAA... earned his first career shutout in a 0-0 draw against Santa Clara (Nov. 9)... recorded a season-high seven saves in back-to-back matches at San Francisco (Oct. 12) and San Diego (Oct. 24)... was credited with an assist on the first goal scored in a 2-1 victory at Portland (Nov. 2)...

Lettered in soccer for one season at Gunn High School... was an all-league selection and team MVP... focused on his club team during his prep years, playing for the De Anza Force Academy at both the U16 and U18 levels...

Paul Angelo Blanchette was born April 16, 1994 in Palo Alto, Calif.... parents are Michael and Lisa Blanchette... has one older brother, John... also considered attending Cal Poly, Princeton, Notre Dame, UC Riverside, Lafayette and New Hampshire... chose LMU because of the campus, soccer program, coaches and education... Sociology major...
