A former Lion goalkeeper, Patrick Lane returns to LMU as an undergraduate assistant coach after playing professionally in Belgium.
Lane was LMU's starting goalkeeper in 2007 as a redshirt freshman, turning in a 1.66 GAA and posting three shutouts. In the summer of 2008, Lane was invited to train with Cercle Bruges of the Jupiler League, Belgium's top division. After three weeks with the squad, he signed a professional contract.
Prior to arriving at LMU, Lane was First Team All-CIF Division I at Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita. He helped lead SMCHS to the 2005 CIF Championship and recorded 32 shutouts in 70 career matches.
Lane has continued to pursue his education at LMU, where he is majoring in Business Administration.
