LOS ANGELES - The LMU Men's Soccer team gave fans a preview of the exiting season to come Saturday night at Sullivan Field, hosting 105-minute exhibition match against CSUN. Playing an untraditional match of three 35-minute periods, the Lions earned a significant 24-7 shot advantage over the preseason #24 ranked Matadors, but came up just short in the 3-2 final line score.

CSUN would get on the board with less than 30 seconds remaining in the first 35-minute period as a lose ball in the Lions' box resulted in an own goal.

Nicholas Camacho made it 2-0 CSUN in the 57th minute, heading home a ball sent into the box from Sagi Lev-Ari.

After hitting the post twice in the early goings, LMU's Greg Antognoli final got the Lions on the board in the 93rd minute. The sophomore transfer from UCLA took a pass across the goalmouth from Adrien Perez and blasted a low shot from the right side into the far post netting.

Five minutes later, Sebastian De Rada tied the score 2-2, picking up a lose ball just outside the six and tapping it home.

As play got sloppy late, it was CSUN who would capture the game-winner at the 101:37 mark as Victor Vasquez's long crossing ball from the left flank curled into the net.

Twenty-one Lions saw action in the exhibition as 17th-year Head Coach Paul Krumpe took a look a variety of different lineups. LMU officially opens the 2014 season on August 29 at Duke.
