2012 Schedule | Buy Tickets | LMU on Facebook | LMU on Twitter LOS ANGELES - In a match that featured just 11 total shots, Cornell was able to take advantage twice as the LMU men's soccer team fell, 2-0, to the visiting Big Red Sunday at Sullivan Field. The Lions are still looking for their first win of the season, falling to 0-2-1 overall while Cornell improved to 2-0-0. The Big Red's Daniel Haber struck for his second and third goals of the season in the match, netting one in each half. At the 21:02 mark he gathered a loose ball near the top left side of the box and volleyed it into the far post. Just under 10 minutes into the second half, Haber took a pass from Tyler Regan on the left wing and slotted a low shot past LMU keeper Billy Thompson. The Lions had five shots, including two on goal - one by Christian Alvarado and one by Ryan Felix - which were both saved by Big Red keeper Rick Pflasterer. The young LMU squad continues its six-game homestand on Friday, Sept. 7, hosting Cal State Fullerton at Sullivan Field. Kick off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
