The Lions came out strong in the first half with Michael Erush sent a right cross to Arturo Torres for the header into the goal in the ninth minute of the game. This was the only goal of the first half.
Harvard answered back in the 59th minute of the game as Michael Cornish shot the free kick into Ladd Fritz who headed the ball in for the score to tie the game 1-1.

Lobach was sent back to the bench with a red card in the 71st-minute of the game. Kevin Ara and Fritz of the Crimson were also sent back to the bench with red cards, giving LMU a three-man advantage for the remaining 13 minutes of the game.
