SAN FRANCISCO - Cruz Corral and John Bovill tallied first-half goals and the LMU men’s soccer team closed out the 2015 season with a 2-0 shutout of West Coast Conference rival San Francisco Saturday night at Negoesco Stadium.

The Lions conclude the year with a 9-9-0 overall record and 4-3-0 WCC mark. San Francisco dropped to 6-11-1 overall and 4-2-1 in league play.

Earning a 6-2 shot advantage in the first half, Corral netted what would stand as the game-winner in the 28th minute. Taking a pass from Akio Ohtake-Gordon, the sophomore striker found himself free of any Don defenders and sent in a shot from 10 yards out.

With just three minutes remaining in the half, Bovlll doubled the Lion lead with a shot from 15 yards out on the left wing into the right far post netting. Maurice Morton and Greg Antognoli assisted the goal.

Paul Blanchette made two saves in his final appearance in goal for LMU. The shutout was his LMU single-season record eighth of the season and 19th of his career.
