Brubaker, Lam Round Out Men's Soccer 2012 Recruiting Class
LMU men's soccer head coach Paul Krumpe rounded out his roster for the 2012 season with the addition of Luc Brubaker and Alex Lam.

LOS ANGELES - LMU men's soccer head coach Paul Krumpe rounded out his roster for the 2012 season with the addition of Luc Brubaker and Alex Lam. The duo join 11 previously announced newcomers in the Lions' 2012 recruiting class.
Brubaker, primarily a left-side midfielder hails from Pioneer High School in San Jose where he earned second team All-Blossom Valley Athletic League in 2011. He is also a member of the De Anza Force and led the club in assists in 2010 when it finished the season ranked fourth in the nation. Brubaker is currently playing in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
"Luc is a very good wide player from a very good club environment," said Krumpe. "We are very fortunate and excited that he has decided to further his soccer career here at LMU."
Lam joins the Lions' side after serving as a four-year starting midfielder at Punahou High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. This past season, Lam led the Buff n' Blue to an Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) title while also earning first team all-state honors. Punahou High School also earned a pair of Hawaii State Championships during Lam's four years.
Lam has served as the team captain for the HSC Bulls club team from 2003-12. The side was the US Club Regional Champion in 2011 and the Pateadores Cup Champion in 2012.
"Alex is very creative left-footed midfielder," said Lions' assistant coach Michael Erush. "He has good vision and we expect that he will make an impact immediately."
The Lions kick off the 2012 season on Aug. 26, hosting UC Santa Barbara to begin a six-match homestand.
