July 13, 2009

LOS ANGELES - LMU men's soccer has added some offensive firepower with the addition of sophomore Jonas Reiter, who transfers to LMU from Saint Louis University, Head Coach Paul Krumpe announced. Reiter is eligible to suit up for the 2009 season and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Reiter, a 6-2 forward from Redondo Beach, scored two goals in 13 appearances last season for the Billikins. Reiter made two starts, netting both of his goals against Portland. Reiter was named to the Atlantic 10 Conference preseason All-Rookie Team and was one of "100 Freshmen to Keep an Eye On" by CollegeSoccerNews.com.

Reiter graduated from South Torrance High School, where he was the team's Offensive Most Valuable Player as a junior and named First Team All-League and All-Area by the Daily Breeze. He will be a familiar face to many of his new teammates, having played his club soccer for Pateadores SC alongside current Lions Tyler Krumpe, Roland Anderson, and Steffen Canty and playing at South Torrance HS with Max Young.

LMU opens up its 2009 campaign on September 1 at San Diego State.
