SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Ryan Felix, Trent Clifton and Craig Nitti were all honored Friday as the West Coast Conference announced the 2013 West Coast Conference Men's Soccer All-Academic Team.

Felix and Clifton were both named to the WCC All-Academic First Team while Nitti was an honorable mention selection. Felix was one of four 2013 honorers to have also earned selection on the 2012 squad.

Felix, a junior, is a physics major who carries a 3.82 cumulative GPA. On the field, he is a key member of the Lions' back line, is one of just four players to appear in every match and has added a pair of goals, including the game-winner at Saint Mary's on Nov. 1.

Clifton, a senior, has battled injury late this season, but early on scored his first collegiate goal in a 2-0 win over Cal State Fullerton. An electrical engineering major, Clifton carries a 3.29 cumulative GPA.

Nitti, a redshirt junior, carries a 3.22 cumulative GPA while majoring in management. Another key back line defender along with Felix, Nitti has helped the Lions to six shutouts while also scoring twice and adding one assist.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his/her team.
