Lions Win Second Straight
The LMU men's tennis team got a big 4-0 win over Radford University at the LMU Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.

Los Angeles, Calif. -- The LMU men's tennis team got a big 4-0 win over Radford University at the LMU Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. After a win over Richmond Thursday, the victory today marks LMU's second win in as many days, improving the team to 6-5 overall on the season.
In the doubles round, the top duo of senior Sebastian Bustamante and junior Todd Volmari defeated their opponents 8-5 on Court 1. The LMU pair is now 7-2 playing together on the top court. Radford took the second match to finish with an 8-6 win on Court 2, sending everyone to Court 3 for the deciding match. With the doubles point at stake, LMU's David Doehring and Cristobal Rivera won 8-6 to clinch the point for the Lions.
LMU entered singles play with a 1-0 lead, needing three singles wins to secure the team win. First to finish was the freshman on Court 5, where LMU's Luke Bohuslav defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-3. On Court 3, Bustamante won 6-3, 6-3 to add to the Lion lead and to improve his own singles record to an impressive 6-1 mark. Clinching the match for the Lions would be Rivera on Court 4, where he needed a second set tiebreaker to overcome his opponent 6-1, 7-6. Once the Lions had the four points they needed, the match would wrap up with the remaining courts going unfinished.
The Lions' next match will be Saturday, March 15 at 10:00a.m. when the host the University of Hawaii.
