Los Angeles, Calif. -- Coming off a big upset win of then No. 53 Santa Clara on Monday, the Lions had to play matches on back-to-back days Tuesday. Traveling across town to the Los Angeles Tennis Center, LMU could not overcome the No. 5 UCLA Bruins on Tuesday afternoon.

The setback on Tuesday snaps an impressive six-match winning streak for the Lions, who played their first road match in seven games. The Lions chose to rest some of their usual starter for the midweek match with an important conference match against BYU coming on Friday. The Lions are now 10-6 on the season, but five of those losses are to ranked opponents. The Bruins improve to 13-2 overall with the win.
