Tennis Programs Complete Day One of Tournament Action

Los Angeles, Calif. - Both men and women's tennis completed day one of tournament action on Friday, with the men at the Santa Clara Bronco Classic and the women at the Cal State Fullerton Fall Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament.

Tamara Tanner posted two tiebreaker wins to advance to the third round in Fullerton, while Purav Raja advanced to the second round of the Singles Flight A with a key win over host Santa Clara in northern California.

This weekend's tournaments mark the second weekend of fall events for both programs.

The women continue play at the Titan Tennis Courts on Saturday, while the men return to compete with the more than 80 participants from 13 West Region teams at the Santa Clara Golf and Tennis Club and the Degheri Center.
