Los Angeles, CA - After being named the Loyola Marymount University male student-athlete of the month for February, Tigran Martirosyan has been awarded the West Coast Conference men's tennis singles Player of the Month.

The top singles player for LMU, Martirosyan posted three big wins during February, including victories over ranked opponents No. 55 Carlos Palencia of UC Santa Barbara (6-1,7-6) on Feb. 1 and Hector Almada of Fresno State (6-1,3-6,10-8) on Feb. 22. Martirosyan also downed Arizona State's Clinton Letcher (6-7, 6-1, 6-3) on Feb. 8. Martirosyan has an overall record of 25-9 for the Lions this year, 14-4 in dual action.
