LOS ANGELES -- The sophomore German tandem of Othar Kordsachia and Felix Van Kann have been a bright spot for the LMU men’s tennis team so far this season. The team has just been named Doubles Team of the Month for March in the West Coast Conference.

Since the two have started playing together, they have yet to be defeated. They have found rhythm together and have moved up to No. 1 doubles for LMU. They are 6-0 with two matches going unfinished since pairing up for doubles play.

In the month of March, the duo went 4-0 with two matches going unfinished. The key victory for the squad came on March 20, when the two defeated Finn Tearney and Francis Alcantara of Pepperdine. At the time, Pepperdine was No. 11 in the nation and their doubles team was No. 47 in the nation. And against then No. 72 Oklahoma St., they were ahead in the match against the No. 43 doubles team in the nation of Denys Pume and Richard del Nunzio before it went unfinished on March 19.

To make things even more exciting for the two, the April 9 ITA Rankings listed van Kann and Kordsachia as the No. 61 doubles team in the nation for their recent success.

The Lions will play at home for their remaining four matches with their next one coming on Friday April 12 when they face San Diego at 1:30 p.m.
