Los Angeles, Calif. -- The LMU men's tennis team will travel to Northern California this weekend to play at Saint Mary's on Friday and at Pacific on Saturday. LMU, SMC, and Pacific all have three conference losses and remain close in the WCC Standings with LMU ahead in the win column.

The Lions currently sit in fourth place in the West Coast Conference standings with a 4-3 record. Two of those setbacks came to ranked opponents early in the season while the team was still in the non-conference portion of their schedule. And the third came in heartbreaking fashion to Portland last weekend in a match that could have gone either way. The Lions have not had a weekend bye since conference play began so while they play their final WCC contests this weekend, some teams still have more to play the following week.

Under first year head coach Tom Lloyd the Lions are 13-7 overall, a vast improvement from last year's 4-20 overall record. However, in 2013, one of the Lions' few wins came over Saint Mary's, a similar squad to who LMU plays on Friday. Pacific will be a new challenge to LMU as this is their first season in the WCC for tennis.
