San Bruno, Calif. - The West Coast Conference announced the 2014 Men's Tennis All-WCC awards on Monday, with three Lions being recognized for singles play. Junior Todd Volmari was named All-WCC Second Team, while sophomore Cristobal Rivera and senior Daniel Simko were named to the Honorable Mention team. It was the first selection to an All-WCC team for all three players.

Volmari played on Courts 1 and 2 for LMU this season, posting an overall singles record of 12-5. Rivera played primarily on Court 4 this year and led the team with 15 singles wins, including a stretch of 10 consecutive wins, the longest streak for any Lion this year. In his final season, Simko earned his first All-WCC selection thanks to a 9-2 record on Court 6 for LMU this year.

The Lions finished the regular season at 14-9 overall and 4-5 in the WCC under first year head coach Tom Lloyd. The team tied for fifth place and will begin play at the WCC Championships in San Diego this Wednesday, where they will face San Francisco in the first round.
