SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference announced its 2013 All-WCC teams for men’s tennis today. The teams were decided by a postseason coaches vote following last week’s WCC Championships.

LMU’s German sophomores, Felix Van Kann and Othar Kordsachia, were named to the All-WCC Second Team for doubles play. The duo started playing together late in the season, but found chemistry and rhythm together quickly as they went on to win their first seven decisions together. They ended the season at 7-2 with a couple matches going unfinished and a No. 70 ITA National Ranking for doubles after jumping into the rankings at No. 63 on April 9.

The pair was also named the WCC Doubles Team of the Month for March 2013. In the month, the pair went 4-0 with two matches going unfinished. The key victory for the squad came on March 20, when the two defeated Finn Tearney and Francis Alcantara of Pepperdine. At the time, Pepperdine was No. 11 in the nation and that doubles team was No. 47 in the nation.

Online at lmulions.com, Lions All-Access did a special video feature interview on the pair about why they enjoy playing together, their German advantage, and other keys to their success.

The Lions ended the season in eighth place in the WCC and lost 4-3 to San Francisco in the first round of the conference championships.
