San Bruno, Calif. - The West Coast Conference announced the 2013-14 West Coast Conference Men's Tennis All-Academic Team on Tuesday, with LMU's Felix Van Kann earning recognition. At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
Van Kann has certainly been a contributor for the Lions in both singles and doubles play during his career at LMU. In 2013, he earned WCC honors for doubles play with teammate Othar Kordsachia. This season, the junior from Frankfurt, Germany played on Court 3 for singles. He holds a 3.89 cumulative GPA as a Communication Studies major.
