UCSB Classic Next for LMU

LMU men's tennis will send five players to the UCSB Classic this weekend. The three-day tournament is hosted by UC Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, Calif.

UCSB Classic Draws Get Acrobat Reader

Competing for the Lions will be freshmen Lucas Moreno, Diego Nava, Ryan Brown and Ethan Prost. Sophomore Cartier Juan will also represent the Lions.

Moreno will open play in the Flight B singles, meeting Ross Watson of Pacific in the first round. Nava will open play in Flight C with a match against Cal Poly's Daly Meinert, while Cartier, Brown and Prost will all compete in Flight D. Cartier will open with a match against Saint Mary's Calvin Jordaan, while Brown will face Cal Poly's Andrew Whitehouse. Prost will also face a Mustang in the opening round, drawing Karhtik Padmanabahn.

On the doubles side of the tournament, Moreno and Nava will team in Flight B. Their opening round match will pit them against Kaya/Matta of Cal. Prost and Brown will also compete in doubles, entering the Flight D draw with set matches on tap. The duo will meet Hawk/Krutik of Saint Mary's on Friday before meeting Harris (UCSB)/Rapp (UCLA) on Saturday. They will close play on Sunday with a match against Stater/Padmanabahn of Cal Poly.
