LOS ANGELES -- After a fall season full of tournaments, the LMU men’s tennis team finally wraps up with the SoCal Intercollegiate Tournament in Los Angeles, Calif. hosted by UCLA from Nov. 7-11.

Hosted by UCLA, the event will feature the best collegiate tennis players in the area. The Lions got a taste for some of these players two weeks ago when they competed at the ITA Southwest Regional tournament. The Lions have also been competing at local Futures tournaments throughout the season.

The Lions come off of a record showing at the ITA Southwest Regionals, with the team of senior Nicholas Bjerke and junior Sebastian Bustamante advancing farther than any Lion duo in the past ten years. The pair made it to the regional semifinals before falling to eventual champions Yannick Hanfmann and Eric Johnson of USC.

This final event of the fall will continue to give the Lions good experience against competition they could face when it matters most in the spring. The tournament favorites will be members from Southern California powerhouse schools USC and host UCLA but after a strong showing at the ITA Regional, the Lions are confident they can play with anyone.
