Los Angeles, Calif. - Loyola Marymount men's tennis has signed Michael Thomsen, head coach Nik DeVore announced Saturday. The Charlottenlund, Denmark, native will join the LMU squad in January.
DeVore believes that Thomsen, who is currently ranked No. 8 in Denmark, will add tremendous depth to the young LMU team.
"Michael is a very strong player who possesses a huge forehand and serve," DeVore said. "He is a very aggressive player who likes to attack the ball and come to the net, so he should have no problem adapting to hard court college tennis. He will no doubt have an immediate impact for us in both singles and doubles."
